E37 Photography invited Lynn Cole and Assina Matlock for an evening of creativity. Lynn is an artist who face paints and body paints people. Assina is a beautiful young actor. She also writes and directors. We started late around 7pm. and end around 10pm. Ralph Williams, the photographer, photographed and videoed the process. Take a look at the less than a minute video clip in this blog. The photographer edited some of the footage to depict the artwork and pan view of the detail paint strokes from head to shoulder. You also get a chance to hear the model/actor introduce Lynn as the painter. This was great experience for all the parties involved. The video seen here was posted on various social media sites. Everyone is anxiously waiting to review the digital images from the photography session.

Body Painting and artwork at the Healium Center

Model Kate Marie and artwork on body and wall by Miguel Dominguez
The Healium Center is a pleasant and artistic place to visit in Atlanta, Georgia to enjoy art, music, food and most of all relaxation. They feature artwork of local artists. It is a place where you can create artwork of your own. I like to visit the place for all of the above but most of all I like to photograph body painting. This blog features Miguel Dominguez who had a large display of artwork on the walls of the center at the time of my visit. You can see his artwork along with the artwork he painted on the body of model Kate Marie. Kate is also an artist but in this instance she posed as a model. She held poses like a frozen ballerina statue. I have photographed her on several other occasions. Each time see looked different. She posed in front of Miguel's artwork and also in the room of Jim Peera, the founder  and director of the Healium Center. He is an artist too. Check out the small sculptures he displayed in the room where Kate posed. It was a pleasure to photograph the features of all the artists in this review. You can follow more of the body painted artwork photography at the website E37 Photography After reading this, I hope you will visit the Healium Center soon.

BODY PAINTING AT THE HEALIUM CENTER WITH MODEL KATE MARIE AND BODYPAINTER LYNN COLE & MIGUEL D. IN ATLANTA

Photography is an art in itself but is better when the goal was to capture other artists at work. This was the case when the photographer entered the Healium Center a unique place in Atlanta where people came to relax while participating in artwork, listening to music, eating and drinking or just admiring all the visual art showcased by local artists in Atlanta. The place was a visual feast in so many ways viewing all the artwork on the walls in the different rooms. On Wednesday they had Open Session Night. Lynn Cole assisted by Miguel Domingquez painted model Kate Marie. She is a creative artist too but on this night see posed as a model depicted as a doll like clown wearing ballet shoes. She is an excellent posers. It was a special treat to see her perform again. The photographer mixed in a little video this time to bring out some of the elements of the progress of body painting which normally takes 5 hours to complete. The Body Painted Fire Dancer BodyArt by Stephanie Anderson E37 Photography

The SCC presented the show Burlesque for Breast which promoted breast cancer awareness. The artist was painted live on stage and then performed with the dazzling fire in hand. This image was special since it captured a second image of the dancer photographed by a member in the audience with a cell phone. With this image, you get two for one. Low light is dramatic which spotlighed the performer with the exception of the hands of the person with the cell phone. Perfect timing.

Diversity Earth Artist For The Cause at The Atlanta Decorative Art Center Atlanta

Ralph Williams, photographer, captured moments of live body painting in an art gallery in Atlanta, Georgia. Kim Chesney invited a group of people to view some of the latest creations of artist work displayed on the wall along with sculptured pieces.

Two body painters, Stephanie Anderson and Lynn Cole, painted models Mettie June and Kate Marie while people watched. After the finished artwork, the model socialized and shared photography opportunities with the guests.

The models also posed with some of the painters who were present in front of their art work. The photographer sought to match the colors painted on body with the art work in the gallerry.
