On June 3, 2015, The Atlanta city officials celebrated with the Atlanta Hawks organization in a full house. The children in the audience cheered for the team along Harry the Hawk the team's mascot. The children and adults laughed watching Harry's performance. Some of the Hawks basketball team attended with the owners and team officials. The attendees were treated to food, drink, Atlanta Hawk posters, and other giveaways. Huge signature boards were available for people to add their signatures.
Mayor Kasim Reed, Councilman Ceasar Mitchell, and other officials gave awards to the owners and coach on stage. The proclamation declared June 3, 2015 Atlanta Hawks Day. The Atlanta Hawks announcer, V103 radio personality Ryan Cameron spoke as if he was still in Phillip Arena exciting the basketball fans at a live NBA professional basketball game. Other radio station members were present around the city hall floor on both sides of the room. Cameras seen everywhere photographed with still,video cameras and cellphones. Every opportunity was a position to capture memories for the history book. The event served to unite the city with an positive agenda. Hopefully, The Atlanta Hawks will continue to break many more winning season records. One day we may very well bring a National Basketball Association Championship home to Atlanta, Georgia.
